Abeiku Quansah Wins On Ukrainian League Debut

It is as if election 2012 will be fought on which party broke more of its promises. So low have the standards of governance fallen in Ghana today that the NDC wants to make it no longer a positive contest of records of performance but rather a negative contest on broken promises.

Ghana youth international Abeiku Quansah made a winning start on his debut for Arsenal Kiev in their 3-0 win over bottom-placed Chornomorets Odessa in the Ukrainian Premier League on Saturday.

The 2009 Fifa Under-20 World Cup winner, who missed last weekend’s league match due to work permit problems, was handed a starting role in midfield.

The 21-year-old has been a traditional right-winger but his new boss Leonid Kuchouk wants him take charge as a middle man.

Quansah expressed his delight after impressing on his debut which lasted for an hour.

“You know it is always good to be playing. I was replaced after 60 minutes. I was very satisfied with the impact I made and I am very happy as well. I look forward to playing more games.”

Quansah joined the ”Gunners” from French side Nice on a three year deal.
