Authorities of the St James minor Seminary at Abesim near Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region have described the death of two final year students killed by lightening as natural occurrence.
The Deputy Rector for the school, Rev Father Hubert Asante Kumi said such incident can happen to anyone and therefore will not read any meaning into the deaths of the students.
Thunder Light struck the two students dead last Tuesday night when they were returning from prep at 10 pm. The two are Shadrach Adolf and Isaac Osei Kufour.
Rev Fr. Hubert Asante Kumi in an interview with Adom News said fear griped the students after the incident, but the authorities have calmed their nerves down as the students have recovered from the shock.
The Deputy Rector therefore rubbished claims that the students died as a result of a spell cast against them.
Meanwhile, a Meteorologist, Rev Steve Nyakotey Quao explained that thunder lightening can kill someone because human hair is charged when it comes into contact with water.
He therefore warned that people should be weary not to walk in rains since it is easy to be truck by thunder.
