On Sunday with victory over Chelsea, Sir Alex Ferguson moved one point closer to making his most famous quote a living, breathing reality while at the same time cementing his reputation as the greatest ever manager in any sport and in any era. There is simply no room for arguments from this point on. The case is closed! When the Scotsman arrived at Old Trafford there were seven top-flight titles in the trophy cabinet.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and coach Samson Siasia are sharply divided over a rematch against Argentina in September in Bangladesh.

MTNFootball.com investigations have revealed that the big wigs at the NFF and Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia, are divided on the money-spinning clash.

While the top shots insist the game is on, Siasia said he has been informed it has been called off.

A top NFF official told MTNFootball.com: “The Argentina deal is on and the Super Eagles will play the match unless God forbid something tragic happens.”

He further disclosed that it would amount to a breach of contract if Nigeria fails to honour the match.

According to the NFF top shot,”What some people don’t know is that the match had been on the cards even before the ‘Guinness The Match’ between the two countries which was played on June 1 in Abuja.

“It was a done and sealed deal so I don’t know how anybody can say the Super Eagles will not play it.”

However, when MTNFootball.con contacted Eagles coach at his USA base, where he is on holidays, Siasia said that the NFF have told him the match will not hold again.

“Well to the best of my knowledge, I think the match is cancelled due to logistic reasons,” Siasia informed.

“The chairman of the technical committee of the NFF, Christopher Green, told me during Kanu Nwankwo testimonial in Lagos that we won’t play the match again.

“That is what my employers have said and I don’t have any objections to it.

“The other important thing we should know is that the match is taking place three days after the Madagascar match and to get to Bangladesh for the match would be a 17-hour flight match. So the players won’t even have enough rest to play the match against Argentina who are desperate for a rematch.”

They recorded their first victory over the two-time world champions earlier this month with a 4-1 spanking at the Abuja National Stadium.
