Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan has rubbished reports linking him with a move away from the Stadium of Light and insisted he is loving life at the club.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a big-money move to Premier League rivals Stoke City and Tottenham but claims he pays no attention to rumours and will be staying where he is.
“I am not leaving Sunderland and I am not interested in these rumours in the newspapers and on the internet,” he told MTNFootball.
“I am fully committed to Sunderland because I love the institution and traditions of this club.”
Reports a few weeks ago suggested he had been put up for transfer by the Black Cats although club chairman Niall Quinn later slammed them as completely false.
Gyan, who impressed in his first season in English football since his £13 million move from French club Rennes, is looking ahead to next season.
He added: “I am staying at Sunderland next season and for the foreseeable future and I am looking forward to meeting my team-mates and Sunderland fans when we return next month.”
Gyan’s comments will come as a relief to manager Steve Bruce as he looks to strengthen his squad following Jordan Henderson’s recent move to Liverpool.
