Wolves have completed the signing of Jamie O’Hara from Tottenham on a permanent deal after his successful loan spell last season.

The Midlands club were impressed with the 24-year-old’s consistent performances and have signed him on a five-year contract.

Goal.com originally revealed, on June 6, that O’Hara had completed his £5 million move after they activated an option to purchase the midfielder from Spurs.

Wolves CEO Jez Moxey said: “We are delighted to make Jamie our first confirmed signing of the summer particularly given the impressive loan spell he enjoyed with us over the second half of last season.

“He made a very positive impact both on and off the pitch and played a key role in helping us achieve our aim of Barclays Premier League survival.

“What is more, he settled very well at the club and his attitude and ability epitomises what the manager looks for in each and every member of the squad.”

O’Hara scored three goals 14 appearances for the Midlands club and was awarded the Wolves Goal of the Year award for his strike against West Brom, his first goal for the club.

Moxey added: “We are all looking forward to Jamie getting a full pre-season completed, something he missed last year, and playing an integral part from the beginning of next season during which we hope, and expect, him to be even more effective player for Wolves in the Premier League.”

O’Hara failed to establish himself in the Spurs squad under Harry Redknapp, although he did make over 50 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals.

The former England Under-21 midfielder had been loaned out to numerous clubs prior to his Wolves switch, including Chesterfield, Millwall and Portsmouth.
