Garowe — Abdurrahman Mohamoud Farole, the president of Somalia’s semi-autonomous state of Puntland on Friday called for the leaders of Somali interim federal government to serve for the their country and its tired people who lived in 20 year civil war and conflict.
In news conference held in Garowe, the capital of Puntland administration, Mr. Farole talked about trips to some countries around the world and the meeting in Kampala where the International Contact group had held a crucial symposium on Somalia.
He said that Puntland is committed cooperating with anyone working who peace and rule of law could be brought the war-torn Somalia.
The Puntland president reiterated that Somali leaders are needed to respect the interests of their people and their nation before their own.
Farole noted that his region hosted a large number of people who displaced from the ongoing battles in southern Somalia regions.
