    Kairaba Senior Secondary School recently graduated 200 students at a ceremony held at Daddy Jobe Senior Secondary School, along MDI Road in Kanifing. The theme of the graduation was ‘discipline’.

    Speaking on the occasion, Alpha Khan, the principal of Charles Jaw Lower and Upper Basic Schools, who was the guest speaker on the occasion, called on the graduating students to participate in the development of the country in order to become responsible citizens. He hinted on the importance of education and urged the graduating students to work hard.

    Commenting on the theme of the graduation, Khan noted that education without discipline is tantamount to nonentity.”Students should discard and bury the seed of indiscipline in them. No nation can develop without education; so the importance attached to it cannot be overemphasised,” he remarked.

    Delivering the vote of thanks, Adama Minteh, the outgoing head girl of Kairaba Senior Secondary School, commended the principal and teachers for their commitment and dedication to ensuring that quality education is attained in the school, and discipline being a priority. The principal of Kairaba SSS, O.B. Adams, chaired the ceremony.

    Certificates and prizes were awarded to outstanding students and teachers.
