Dynamo Kiev president Igor Surkis has revealed that his club is interested in signing Tottenham‘s Niko Kranjcar.
The midfielder cut something of a frustrated figure last season as he saw his first team opportunities limited and has expressed a desire to leave in order to find regular football.
It remains to be seen whether Spurs would let him go with the prospect of Luka Modric moving to Chelsea, but the Ukrainian club’s president admitted that they are prepared to offer Kranjcar a way out of White Hart Lane.
“We are negotiating for Kranjcar,” said Surkis, according to skysports.com.
“We still have to meet him and Tottenham, but he is in our transfer plans.
“We have already missed out on several players – not because we aren’t able to meet the demands of their clubs but because not everyone wants to come to the Ukrainian league.
“If Kranjcar thinks over our proposal, searches his soul and wants to come here, then we will buy him with pleasure.”
