Marco Materazzi has agreed to rescind his contract with Inter, but could come back next year as a director, according to a report from the Italian peninsula.
Tuttomercatoweb claims the veteran defender has decided to leave the club a year before the expiry of his current contract at San Siro.
The 37-year-old joined Inter in 2001 from Perugia, but the former Everton man has been linked with a return to the Premier League.
Recent reports have seen him tipped for a role with either QPR, or a move to Major League Soccer in the USA.
