McLeish is adamant he can win fans over and take the club forward
New Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish is adamant he is the right man to take the club forward.
News of the 52-year-old former Birmingham City boss’ appointment led angry Villa fans to protest outside Villa Park.
But McLeish said: “I’ve got thick skin, I’ve managed Glasgow Rangers and got it in the neck up there.”
“I got through that and I’ll come through this,” he added. “I am the man for the job.”
