The grassroots soccer event which will end on June 29, is being organized by Stars Football Academy in conjunction with the Edo State Football Association in partnership with Seven-up Bottling Company. It will feature 12 youths teams divided into four groups and is anticipated to attract good and skillful talents across the metropolis.

The Chief Executive of the Stars Football Academy, Ellams Musa, who assured of a hitch-free championship, said he looks forward to a keenly contested competition.

Responding to the criteria for the selection of these teams for the event, Musa hinted that lots of teams signified interest to participate at the event, but was mindful of making it a successful event and to manage the resources at hand in order to have a befitting championship rather than organizing a jamboree event.

He said that the all the 12 teams stand chance of qualifying for the final of the championship as two teams are expected to qualify from each group to the quarterfinal stages.
