MPLA Official Calls for Confidence in Party

    Ondjiva — The vice-president of the ruling MPLA party, Roberto Victor de Ameida, Saturday in southern Cunene province asked for deeply trust in his party and the Angolan president, José Eduardo dos Santos.

    The vice president, who was addressing a political rally in Ondjiva city, said the confidence should be expressed in 2012 general elections.

    According to Roberto de Almeida, who started Thursday a three-day visit to the region, the request takes into account the ongoing works in all the country’s 18 provinces aimed at improving the living conditions of people.

    The politician instructed the members and militants of MPLA to avoid situations that can result in the conflicts among people from different political parties.

    Roberto de Almeida was accompanied by the members of Politburo of MPLA, with stress to the secretaries for Information and Propaganda and Economic and Socials Affairs, respectively Rui Falcão and Manuel Nunes Júnior.
