Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini has dropped a heavy hint that that may be set to leave Goodison Park this summer after almost three years on Merseyside.
The Belgian international is currently recuperating from an ankle injury picked up in February against Chelsea that saw his season ended prematurely.
He has since been quoted by 7sur7 as saying that he wants to play in the Champions League and for a successful team.
“One thing is certain, I want to play in a team that wins trophies and play in the Champions League,” he said.
“Everton is a team of sub-top.”
The 23-year-old joined Everton from Standard Liege in 2008 for £15 million and has become a key figure on Merseyside, helping the club to the FA Cup final in 2009 where they lost 2-0 to Chelsea.
However, he has been frequently linked with a series of top European clubs including Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea, all of whom will be playing in the Champions League next season.
