Freetown — The Office of the First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone, wishes to inform members of the Public that First Lady Sia Nyama Koroma has been out of the country for the last two weeks on official assignment. She is expected back in Sierra Leone by next week.
This Office notes the highly offensive verbal and written attacks that have been launched against the person of First Lady Sia Nyama Koroma in her absence and carried in various newspapers and over radio stations.
It cannot avoid conclusion that the timing of these attacks were deliberately chosen to be when the First Lady is out of the country. Such timing is cowardly and a reflection of the characterless motivation behind the attacks.
The Public is assured that First Lady Sia Nyama Koroma has always been a law-abiding and very peaceful citizen and continues to be a Role Model to many in the society. Any attempts to portray her otherwise will be vigorously resisted with recourse to the Law Courts not being precluded.
Members of the Public and all Media Professionals are hereby assured that the First Lady has been forthright and above aboard in all her decisions concerning the land at Aberdeen which was legitimately conveyed to her family.
