Barcelona winger Pedro has stated his wish to see Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas join him at the Camp Nou next season.

The Champions League winner was speaking to

Canarias Radio La Autonomica while on holiday in Tenerife and also discussed another Barca target, Alexis Sanchez.

“Cesc is a great player whom the team know well. He is a leader in his team and I want him to come,” he said

“Sanchez is a very quick attacker, who is good at taking on players and if Barcelona are interested, it is because he is a great player.”

Pedro’s comments come after Fabregas, who has long been linked with a return to his native Barcelona, insisted that he would be content to remain at Arsenal for the time being.

The 23-year-old Spanish international also spoke of how the senior players at the club retain their hunger to win trophies and said that playing for Barcelona is about more than just becoming a better footballer, but also a better all-round person.

“I have many players whom I can look up to such as Xavi, Victor Valdes, Carles Puyol and Andres Iniesta, who have spent many years at the club,” he said. “They continue to set an example and they still have the ambition to win trophies.

“Barcelona teach you values and how to life your life, to apply these values not only on the pitch but off it. It helps you to mature and it is something very few teams in the world can offer.”
