Police Probe Nude Photo Scandal at Kalkrand

Police at Kalkrand are investigating rape and defamation charges after a 24 year-old woman reported that a nude photo of herself is being circulated on cell phones.

Police Commissioner, Kobus Meyer, yesterday said the woman came to know about the circulation of her nude photo on cell phones after her friend to whom it was sent had informed her.

As part of the investigation Police on Friday impounded a computer, belonging to Kalkrand Village Council, onto which the the woman’s nude photo was also downloaded.

Meyer said the woman’s nude photo which is in circulation was taken with a cell phone in April after she was talked into it by a well-known man at the village.

Arrests upon completion of the investigation are likely, said the Police commissioner.
