A staunch critic of Pa Dembo Touray Uif Aldelsohn, a fan of Dif who also doubles as a politician from the Swedish Moderate party, has apologized to the Gambian net-minder for his outburst.
Pa Dembo is accused of making costly goalkeeping gaffes against Trelleborg -goals of which he is blamed for by club fans. Politician Uif Andersson from the Moderate camp launched scattering remarks on the Gambian in an interview over his impression of the Djurgarden goalkeeper, a club he is a fan of.
The former Stockholm Mayor went on the offensive branding the 1.98m the ‘worst goalkeeper’ he had ever seen.
“[Dembo] is the club’s worst goalie in my lifetime’ he said of the ex-Real De Banjul. It turned out to be war-of words affair when the Gambian slammed back at the staunch critic calling him ‘idiotic’, adding “what does he know?”
“I do not know how he can say that, I don’t care about him. He is idiotic!” Dembo said earlier.
The heated row between the duo has ended now, after Aldelsohn apologized to the glove man.
In a short message he sent to Dembo’s phone which he showed to reporters reads the apologetic message: “Forgive me Dembo!”
However, Pa still has to work on cementing his relationship with his home fans which is thinning out of recent.
The Veteran Gambian goalkeeper was subject to jeering when fans called on him to quit the club after a ten year stint. Dembo who has won the Swedish best goalkeeper award many an occasion contract with the Stockholm club is to elapse at the end of the season.
His future at Djurgarden is undecided after nothing came of his meeting with the club’s director of sports.
Numerous clubs are linked with a move for the goalie with a transfer to the English championship the most discussed.
