Danso, the Portland Timbers starting central defender, suffered a dislocated left shoulder after a midair collision with Colorado forward Caleb Foran during the 23rd minute of the Timbers' 1-0 loss to the Rapids Saturday night. Danso was replaced by David Horst

Sensei Springer a professional Educator and Martial Artist is set for a two weekend training course in the Gambia.

The former Biomechanics and Sports Science lecturer was to land in Gambia yesterday as a guest to the Gambia Martial & self Defence Academy.

Sensei focused on developing his ‘kata’ ability and became a top level Competitor throughout the 1970s and 1980s, winning many national titles in the process.

He has made an extensive study of the body’s energy systems and is a Master Teacher of Sekhem and Reiki Energy Healing. In 1996 he founded the British Association of reiki practitioners and established the ANKH Healing Centre in Brighton on the south coast.

Sensei brings this varied experience to his teaching and now specializes in the teaching of ‘Kata Bunkai’ and Pressure Point applications in seminars and workshops around the world. He has taught in Britain, Barbados, Cuba, Trinidad, Jamaica, Grenada, Dominican Republic, Kenya, Greece, Spain, Palestine (West Bank), Tunisia, Holland, Germany and the USA.

He has been featured on C4 TV in the UK, BBC London Radio, and national TV in Barbados and Palestinian Radio in Jerusalem. He is also to head to Senegal as well.
