A representative of Luka Modric has claimed that the player would be open to leaving Tottenham, but insists a mooted £22 million offer from Chelsea is some way short of the midfielder’s value.
On Wednesday night reports emerged that the Blues had made an offer of that amount for the Croat.
BBC Sport quote representative Nikky Vukan as saying: “Luka is happy at Spurs but if an offer came in that was acceptable to the club and player, we would be willing to discuss it.
“In my opinion, £22m is a valuation that is too low for the player.”
Modric arrived at Tottenham in 2008 for £16m and played a pivotal role in the side’s Champions League campaign last season.
Chelsea are likely to increase their bid for the former Dinamo Zagreb player to tempt him away from north London.
