Ronnie Kalungi and Chris Buye will represent Kampala region in the Nile Special National Open Pool Championship after toppling their opponents in the qualifiers at the weekend.
Kalungi,22, came from three games down to emerge champion 4-3 in an exciting final against Richard Kagwa at Casablanca, Wandegeya.
“If I get enough time on the table and practice I will shock people at the finals,” Kalungi, a bodaboda rider warned. Buye lost 4-2 to Polaus Bisaso in the final at Lumas Pub but was declared winner after the latter got disqualified for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
