Sandton — The prevailing situation in southern Africa dominated the talks at the second summit of heads of state and government of the region, held in Sandton City, South Africa.
The meeting took place under the theme “Towards a single Market” and gathered representatives of the Common Market of Eastern and Southern Africa and of the East Africa Community (EAC).
The head of the Angolan diplomacy, Georges Chicoty, told the press that the mentioned market may be created within five years.
According to him, it was launched the negotiations process that will comprise the SADC, COMESA and EAC regions.
The creation of this market will enable the improvement of the living conditions of the peoples of the mentioned regions, he said.
