Norman Katende 11 June 2011 GEOFFREY Kusuro finished fifth at an event in France but still qualified for the World Championship due in South Korea. The runner clocked 13:14.02 in the 5000m race to become the 11th athlete to hit the grade for the world show slated for August. The qualifying mark for the event is 13:20.00.

DOMESTIC volleyball teams will take on opposition from Kenya in the annual Dr. Aporu Okol Memorial International tournament due June 24-26 in Kumi.

The event is held in memory of the former Uganda Volleyball Federation patron.

One of the event’s organisers Joseph Opio, said eight teams from Kenya have confirmed their entry.
