All 13,000 copies of the controversial movie, “Atta Mortuary Man”, have been released to the owners nearly two weeks after they were confiscated by unidentified security men.

Aide to former President Rawlings Kofi Adams insists there is no justification for government’s inability to find the killers of Ya Na Yakubu Andani II.

According to Kofi Adams, a tape which could lead to the arrest and prosecution of the killers of the late Overlord of Dagbon is in government’s custody.

“The tape we are talking about does not say that it was a tape that saw somebody cutting the head of the Overlord, no. but it would be part of [government’s] information gathering. You could see faces, faces that would aide you to arrive at who and who could have masterminded these killings.”

Mr Adams was speaking to Joy News shortly after his arrival in the Northern regional capital, Tamale, where former first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings was touring.

Mr Adams, who is also the Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress, said a son of the late Ya Na Yakubu Andani II made the tape available to former President Rawlings.

He said the tape was placed in the custody of Mr Victor Smith, then the special aide to Mr Rawlings.

According to Mr Adams, Mr Smith now Ghana’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic said the tape was handed over to the Deputy Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Ebo Barton Odro.
