The principal magistrate at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court has been fired, judicial sources confirmed to the Daily Observer on Wednesday.
According to confirmed sources, the services of Magistrate Fatou Lili Drammeh was terminated by the Judicial Service Commission. However, no reasons were given for her dismissal.
The sacked magistrate was also ordered to immediately surrender all Judiciary properties in her possession with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, this reporter saw the erstwhile principal magistrate’s official vehicle, with registration number ‘Judiciary 5’ parked at the premises of the High Court building in Banjul at about 5:00pm Wednesday.
