Somali President, His Prime Minister Meet in Kampala

    Kampala — One day after his travel to Uganda, the prime minister of Somali interim federal government has the president Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed in Kampala in an effort to reduce the deteriorating bickering in the government.

    It was closed door meeting, the journalist were not allowed in. The discussions of the two heads are not still known.

    The meeting came on the heels of other meetings between Somali president Ahmed and parliament speaker as all meetings were said to have ended in vain.

    The prime minister has quickly departed to Uganda on Tuesday after the speaker asked the president removing his premier to allow one year term extension for the president’s tenure.

    The UN special envoy for Somalia Augustine Mahiga and the Uganda president Museveni are trying to end the bickering in the Somali government.
