Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard has hinted that he could end his career with the club, insisting that he is happy at Goodison Park.
The USA international initially joined David Moyes’ side on loan from Manchester United, but later completed a £3 million permanent move, and has enjoyed five seasons on Merseyside.
Howard has proved to be a valuable asset to the Toffees and has revealed that he has no plans to leave the club in the future.
“I’m happier than I’ve ever been,” he is quoted as saying on Skysports.com.
“It’s hard to speculate but my heart is there for the club.
“It’s a place I love to be. I don’t want to leave. This game is a business sometimes so there is that side to it but I’m happy – I’m happier than I’ve ever been.”
Howard also revealed that former Preston boss Moyes is a key factor in the club’s success and played a part in his desire to remain with the club.
“Part of that is the fact that we’ve got an unbelievable coach but again things happen and times change. But the club always stays the same so I hope that I can be there.”
