Accountant nabbed for attempting to rob hospital of GH¢260,000

1 June 2011 Luanda — At least 16 Angolans experts in hotels and tourism will attend a professional course in June in Italy, in the ambit of the cooperation protocol signed between the government of the Angolan southern Huila province and the Italian Embassy, aimed at upgrading the professionals of the sector.

The accountant for the Keta Municipal Hospital has been arrested for allegedly attempting to steal about GH¢260,000.

His name has been given only as Hayford.

Hospital authorities will not give details except to say he tried to withdraw the amount from the Keta branch of the Ghana Commercial Bank last month.
