Bangui — Taifa Stars hopes of qualifying for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations finals suffered a setback yesterday after going down 2-1 to Central Africa Republic.
Stars, who have been disappointing in recent friendly matches, left for Bangui on Friday oozing with confidence, but could not end their hosts perfect home record. Stars are third with four points, trailing behind Morocco and CAR who have garnered seven points apiece. (Allan Goshashy)
Stars will later this year play away to Morocco before hosting struggling Algeria.
