3 June 2011 Kuito — Students at the Methodist University of Angola Friday, in Kuito city, central Bie province, promoted a lecture on Climate Change. The students are since Thursday in Kuito, to conduct a range of activities under the World Environment Day, being celebrated on 5 June. The lecture is included in the programme of activities that the group of students hold in the town of Kuito and aimed at instilling in people's minds the importance of preserving the environment, the causes of climate change and its danger to society

Lubango — The works of the 29th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Forum of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC), to take place in Lubango city, is starting on Monday, where the Managing Committee will analyse the activity implemented in 2010.

However, the referred committee will gather separately its three sub-committees such as the Human Resources, Legal and Financial areas.

Angop learnt that on Monday morning the managing committee will open its meeting, followed by the meeting of human resources sub-committee.

The meeting of the legal and financial sub-committee is set for Monday afternoon.

On Tuesday and Wednesday , the executive committee will meet in order to prepare the 29th plenary session of the Parliamentary Forum of SADC, whose official opening ceremony is set for Thursday, under the guidance of the Angolan president, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos.

Speakers of parliaments are also expected to meet, as well as they will hold a tour from the southern Huíla province to the central Benguela province.

The event is being attended by 120 delegates.
