Martin O’Neill is ready to return to management with Fulham, according to the Daily Mail.

The Cottagers are looking for a new manager after Mark Hughes walked away from the club when his contract expired at the end of the season, and O’Neill is reportedly ready to end his 10-month absence from the game after holding talks with the London side.

A key factor in O’Neill, who has now ended his financial dispute with former club Aston Villa, being keen on the job is said to be that he would not have to move from his current home in High Wycombe.

Other candidates for the job include former Ajax and Tottenham boss Martin Jol, as well as ex-England manager Steve McClaren. Both are also currently out of work, Jol having been sacked by Ajax in 2010 and McClaren dismissed by German side Wolfsburg.

Alan Curbishley is also believed to be in the frame for the job, having been out of football since he walked away from West Ham in 2008.
