Freetown — Lamin Dumbuya aka Dr. Lamin on Friday 27 May 2011 declared his intention to represent the APC party as Member of Parliament for Constituency 40 in the Brimaia Chiefdom, Kambia District in the 2012 general elections.

Chairman of the occasion, Lamin Teseh Sillah, called on the gathering to be politically tolerant and embrace change for the development of the chiefdom. “We are not here to campaign because the PPRC has not given the go-ahead to do so,” he said. & nbsp;

Abraham Koroma, youth leader in the area, called on all young people to desist from any form of violence and always welcome those who wish good for the district.

In his brief statement, Lamin Dumbuya said he has been an APC member for a long time now and that he thought this is the right time to represent his people in parliament.

He said he believes in the leadership of President Ernest Bai Koroma and therefore called on his people to support him in the 2012 general elections.
