Chris Brunt admits he is enjoying life at West Brom and wants to stay at the club even though suitors such as Liverpool and Everton have reportedly shown interest in signing the Baggies’ captain.

The 26-year-old was handed the captain’s armband when Roy Hodgson joined the Baggies and enjoyed a good last season in the Premier League, avoiding relegation after the previous season’s promotion to the top flight.

Liverpool’s director of football Damien Comolli is reportedly keen on signing Brunt, who is valued at around £8 million, while Aston Villa have also allegedly showed their interest in him.

However, Hodgson is determined to keep Brunt as well as striker Peter Odemwingie, also linked with a move to Liverpool, at West Brom.

Brunt still has another two years left on his contract and feels that he has settled at the Hawthorns and has set his aim on steering the team in the right direction.

He told Sunday Mercury: “I’ve got a contract here, so until someone tells me otherwise I’ll be playing here.

“I’ve enjoyed the season and I’ll just keep my head down and see where it goes from there.

“I enjoy playing for West Brom  and I think I’ve got a decent relationship with
     the supporters.

“I’ve been here for a while now and I know the ins and the outs of the club.”
