Chelsea have not been in contact with Palermo’s Javier Pastore – agent

Palermo ace Javier Pastore has not been approached by Chelsea, according to the player’s agent.

The 21-year-old playmaker has been the subject of rumours linking him with a move to both the Premier League and La Liga after an influential season in Serie A.

Palermo’s president Maurizio Zamparini told Italian media that he is targeting €50 million £49.2m for the Argentine.

However, the player’s agent, Marcelo Simonian, has revealed one of the clubs interested is not Chelsea.

“I suppose, but it’s just a supposition, that like the other big teams, it could be Chelsea are possibly interested, but I have not had any official contact with the Blues,” Simonian told Calciomercatoweb.it.

Asked whether Pastore was searching for a way out, Simonian said: “We are not looking for anything, Javier is happy at Palermo.

“I can confirm Javier loves Italy, he feels at home. In any case, official offers are for Palermo and we are not aware of any such proposals.”

Pastore was the Palermo’s top scorer last term with 11 goals in 35 games.
