The Founder and General Overseer of the Christian Action Faith Ministries, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams, has warned that Ghana could walk the path of Cote d'Ivoire in 2012 if its politicians do not refrain from utterances that fan hatred and enmity. While admonishing politicians to prioritise the country's peace and national cohesion ahead of personal and partisan interests, he urged religious leaders to rise and pray for the nation

Espanyol president Joan Collet has stated that Pablo Osvaldo is a player who could be sold if the right offer arrives.

Last month Goal.com revealed how the 25-year-old was being considered by Tottenham after Harry Redknapp reportedly watched him in action.

Osvaldo has also been linked with Atletico Madrid and Sevilla, and Collet’s latest comments could spark a bidding war.

“No-one here at the club said he is not for sale,” Collet claimed, according to Goal.com Spain.

Fulham were said to be interested as well, but with Mark Hughes leaving the club it is unknown whether the Cottagers will continue to pursue the former Fiorentina forward.

Osvaldo’s agent recently claimed the player was happy at the Barcelona-based club, but added people from “England and Spain” had called him with interest.

The striker began his career at Argentine club Huracan before moving to Italian side Atalanta in 2005. However, after just one goal in three appearances for the club, they sold him to Lecce in a co-ownership deal.

In 2007, he was sold to Fiorentina, but after 20 appearances in a two-year spell, he was sold to Bologna.

He later joined Espanyol on a permanent basis last year.
