Kassala — The Minister of Electricity and Dams, Usama Abdalla, accompanied by the Deputy Wali (governor) of Kassala State and Minister of Education in the State, Ali Awad Mohamed Musa, inspected through his visit to Kassala State Thursday the progress of work in implementing the Eastern Electricity Network projects (Gedarif – Al-Girbba – New Halfa – Kassala – Aroma) at the length of 319 kilometers and is being implemented by Chinese companies at the cost of 93 thousand Euros.

The minister and the accompanying delegation inspected the construction works at Aroma Transformative Electricity Station which is due to be accomplished before next September to supply Aroma town and the surrounding villages with electricity power.

The minster pointed out that his visit to Kassala aims to be informed with the performance, indicating that the President of the Republic will inaugurate the main station in Gedadri StateSUNA learnt that this project considered conducive to enhancing to the horticultural schemes in Kassala State and decreasing to the cost of production by 70% and increasing to the income, boosting to industry and manufacturing, attracting to investment and leading to stability particularly at Al-Gash areas.
