After firing Swansea City into the Premier League Scott Sinclair has revealed that he intends to stay at the Welsh club despite growing interest from other clubs.

The former Chelsea winger nabbed an impressive hat-trick to help his side win 4-2 against Reading in the Championship play-off final on Monday – taking his tally to 27 for the season-  and claimed he is enjoying his time at the Liberty Stadium despite expecting to draw interest from some Premier League clubs.

Speaking to the Daily Express, Sinclair said: “I don’t care if people start linking me to other clubs, I’m going to be playing with Swansea every week. I’m not going to go to another Premier League club and sit on the bench.”

Sinclair joined Swansea after loan spells at Crystal Palace, Birmingham and Wigan and admitted a lack of chances at Stamford Bridge forced him out.

“I could have gone on loan again last summer but I’d had enough of that and reached the decision that I would leave. I think it’s the best decision I’ve made,” he added.

“People ask if it was a step down to drop into the Championship but, with week in, week out football, I knew, with my qualities, I’d be back in the Premier League one day.

“Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers was one of the main reason I came to Swansea. I can only thank the manager for the way the whole season has gone for me.”
