Luanda — A talk on the development of football and refereeing was held Tuesday evening in Luanda to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Luanda Football Association (APFL), on May 31.
During the event, the APFL president, Domingos Tomás, said a major development of football requires an attention to social, financial and political factors.
As to refereeing, the official said clubs managers and supporters should look at referees as people who are also subject to making mistakes in the performance of their duties.
He appealed to referees to consider more aspects like ethics, physical condition and techniques in order to overcome the bad image they are normally associated with.
The APFL was established on May 31, 1981, under the command of Manuel Furgier dos Santos as its first president.
