Luanda — Angolan architect Geraldo Afonso urged the government to build more recreational spaces for children in the districts, aimed at getting them occupied during their leisure times.
In an interview to ANGOP, the architect who was speaking in the ambit of June 1, International Children’s Day, stated that the re-qualification of districts and housing projects should always take into account recreational spaces for children.
The architect, who spoke particularly about the capital city, stressed that children playgrounds should serve as spaces for organising activities such as music shows and lectures on topics related to children.
Geraldo Afonso stressed that the venues for leisure should be covered with green spaces and facilities such as swings, slides, among other devices for fun and exercise.
