Sawa Education And Vocational Training Center Playing Significant Role in Producing Skilled Manpower

The Sawa Education and Vocational Training Center is playing a vital role in producing skilled manpower for the nation-building process, stated Mr. Mekalih Abraham, the head of the School of Commerce and Management.

In an interview with ERINA, Mr. Mekalih indicated that extensive efforts were made to turn Sawa into a center of all-round training and added that the ongoing infrastructural development will enable it become an urban center. He further stated that a lot of young nationals have acquired skills and educational training in Sawa and are making due contribution in the nation building process.

Pointing out that the number of youths coming to the center from different parts of the country is rising every year, Mr. Mekalih said that Sawa not only equips young citizens with skills and education but also instills discipline and sense of unity in them while providing the opportunity for sharing experiences and maintain national values.

He further underlined that activities focusing on all-round development of the youth would be further strengthened and efforts are underway to improve the capacity of teachers, promote quality of health services and improve water supply systems, Mr. Mekalih added.

Over 3,000 students are presently pursuing education at the Sawa Vocational Training Center.
