Training of Guinean Journalists Ends

Police have reportedly been advised by to go slow on the local investigation over the post election violence suspects now that the admissibility case lodged by the Government to save the Ocampo was dismissed by the ICC.

Luanda — At least 90 Guinean journalists, belonging to different media organs, Saturday concluded a training course on journalistic techniques promoted by the Angolan Ministry of Social Communication (MCS), under cooperation between both countries.

The 15-day course in the capital of Guinea Bissau, aimed at mainly enhancing the journalists in that West African country and consolidating their knowledge to promote a more active professional conscience and prepare them to performing their job properly.

During the training, the participants discussed with the Angolan monitors Albino Carlos, Joaquim Paulo, Carlos Calongo, Vital Dias, Jose Alves and Mariana Ribeiro, basic matters of journalism and materials/techniques related to speech, presentation of news programmes in radio and television.

In a second phase, the journalists of Guinea Bissau will receive training in the Angolan capital (Luanda) and must have practical lessons at the News Agency (ANGOP), National Radio (RNA), Public Television (TPA) and Angola newspaper (JA).
