Luanda — The ambassador of Mali to Angola, Farouk Camara, Wednesday, here, criticized the passivity shown by African countries amid interference in their internal problems by the European powers.

The diplomat made this criticism at the interval of political act promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under the theme “What future for the African Union with a view of the preservation of African independence and sovereignty”, as part of the celebrations of Africa’s Day, May 25.

Africa is being abused, particularly by the member countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), without the mandates given by the United Nations (UN) and the African Union (AU).

He called for the urgent need to cultivate a genuine union between African countries, to oppose the designs of those who want to increasingly see a fragmented continent.

Among those attending the meeting led by Foreign minister, Georges Chicoty were ambassadors accredited in the country, among other personalities.
