Uíge — One hundred hectares of arable land, among which 40 are for ploughing and 60 belong to schools, have been prepared by the agriculture sector in the districts of Bungo, province of Uíge, during the second stage of the 2010/2011 agriculture season, aimed to fight poverty, announced this Wednesday the director of IDA, Ernesto Zacarias.
In an interview to ANGOP, Ernesto Zacarias said that the prepared hectares will serve for cultivation of peanuts, potatoes, cassava, banana, beans and vegetables.
Ernesto Zacarias said that his sector is committed to increasing fields for agriculture in order to develop production in the region and fight against poverty.
