Patrice Evra has advised Arsenal‘s Samir Nasri to consider a move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old Gunners midfielder stalled on negotiations over a new contract at the Emirates earlier in the season, and has been linked with a move to the Premier League champions in the past few weeks.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson refused to comment on the matter during Tuesday’s press conference, but Evra has made it clear that Nasri is welcome at Old Trafford.

“I am not aware of any interest from Manchester United in Samir Nasri. However, he should realise that there is no room for error here if he decides to join United,” the left-back said to L’Equipe.

“Every year, you play to win trophies. That is the culture at Manchester United. You have the guarantee of winning something here. I have been at the club for five years now and I do not even remember how many trophies I have won; 13? 15?

“Little Prince Nasri’s nickname, if you want to become the king, you know where you have to go.”

Nasri joined Arsenal from Marseille in 2008, and the winger’s current deal runs until the summer of 2012.
