Amisom Expresses Concern Over Govt Political Crisis

Mogadishu — The African Union peacekeeping mission in Somalia on Monday expressed concern about the differences between Somali president Sheikh Sheikh Sheikh Ahmed and parliament speaker Sharif Hassan Sheikh Adam.

In a press conference held in the Somali capital Mogadishu, Paddy Akunda, the spokesman of AMISOM forces that it is not needed the top FG leaders to disagree as the country is in a state of war.

Akunda noted that the continuation of wrangle between the government officials could hamper the ongoing combat operations against Al shabaab fighters.
