Nairobi — Sharif Hassan Sheikh Adam, the speakers of Somali transitional federal parliament TFP on Tuesday held meetings with officials from United Nations Security Council in Nairobi, the capital of neighboring Kenya.
The speaker has also met with Ambassador Augustine Mahiga, the UN special representative to Somalia and officials from African Union AU to discuss the transition period of the TFG which is due to wrap up at August this year.
During the discussions, AU and UN officials talked about the deteriorating political rift between Somali president and the parliament speaker.
The meetings today comes as Somali president, Puntland and Gal-mudug regional administrations were invited to attend UNSC meeting on Somalia which will be held in Nairobi tomorrow.
