Keren — Independence Day celebrations conducted in all sub-zones and administrative areas in Anseba region has been finalized in Keren town in a colorful manner.
Speaking at the closing ceremony in which Government officials and thousands of nationals took part, the regional Administrator, Mr. Gergis Girmai, pointed out that the people and Government of Eritrea have rebuffed the multiple conspiracies weaved by enemy quarters. In this connection, he stressed the need for stepped-up participation in reinforcing the national development drive.
The Administrator of Keren town, Mr. Tekie Keleta, explained on his part that various governmental institutions and private enterprises made utmost preparations for the success of the event.
Different artistic presentations, including drama, songs and poetry recitals featured on the occasion, while Eritrean Artist Mihret Zerihans from the US staged musical performance, thus adding color to the event.
