Luanda — The Portuguese Minister of Environment and Territory Ordering, Dulce Alvaro Pássaro, arrived in Luanda on Tuesday in order to attend on 24-25 the meeting of the Environment Ministers of the Portuguese Speaking Countries Community (CPLP) on waste management.
At Luanda’s 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, the official was received by the Angolan Environment Minister, Fátima Jardim and by the Portuguese Ambassador to Angola, Francisco Ribeiro Teles.
The visiting official is leading a technical team that will speak on the Portuguese reality in this field.
The meeting, to happen under the motto “Treat the Wastes-Defend the Future”, is aimed at seeking for solutions to resolve the problems of waste management in CPLP, in the light of the experience of each state and technical innovations.
The meeting will discuss issues related to: Wastes innovating solutions, waste integrated and sustained management, quality of water and the private sector of the environmental planning service.
The event is being attended by government officials, MPs, representative of the diplomatic body and businesspeople.
