Keren — The inhabitants of Selaq sub-zone, celebrated the 20th Independence anniversary by setting up community tents today in patriotic zeal. The celebration programs accompanied with active participation of the people continued in vibrant sprit throughout the day.
The inhabitants underscored that they held extensive preparations towards the event, and that the essence of the celebration goes on beyond the merriment. They also added that independence celebrations are an occasion in which we renew our pledge to live up to the martyrs trust.
The Administrator of Selaa sub-zone, Mr. Meharena Tecleab said that the development achievements registered in post-independence period and explained that the achievements are indicative of a bright future ahead.
Selaa is located 140 Km. North of Keren.
