Benguela — The athlete Mário Dias of Interclube team on Sunday in Benguela Province won the national plate shooting tournament, organised as part of the city’s anniversary festivities, marked on 17th May.
The second position was occupied by Jorge Perestrelo of Clube de Tiros de Benguela team, while Francisco Gastão from Interclube remained in third place.
In an interview to ANGOP, Mário Dias considered as difficult the challenge in the tournament, but praised the club’s initiative.
On the other hand, the chairman of Benguela Plate Shooting Club, Álvaro Eugénio, praised the event and made a positive balance of the participants in the competition.
The tournament counted on the participation of athletes from the provinces of Luanda, Huíla, Huambo, Namibe, Kwanza Sul and Benguela.
