Uganda: Rautenbach to Skip Kcb Pearl Rally

Kampala — After winning the Zambia International Rally – the third round of the African Rally Championship (ARC), Zimbabwean Conrad Rautenbach announced that he was skipping the KCB Pearl of Africa Rally scheduled for July 15-17. However, he will take part in KCB Safari Rally next month in Nairobi.

The 26-year-old explained that the Uganda event was clashing with the Volkswagen Rally, which is taking place in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Rautenbach will compete in that rally.

Fellow countryman Jamie Whyte confirmed his participation in the Pearl. The veteran driver is the reigning African champion and currently lies second, with 51 points after three rounds, behind Rautenbach.

On Sunday, Rautenbach tightened his grip on the ARC title with his third win in as many events.

Rautenbach drives a Ford Fiesta S2000.
